Habaneras Shopping Centre

Centro Comercials

Visitors to Torrevieja, especially those from the United Kingdom will find their shopping experience somewhat different to  what they are used to.

Another important factor to remember is many of the shops, aside from the supermarkets in the smaller shopping centres tend to close from around 2pm to 5pm for ”siesta”. The larger ones such as the Habaneras Centre and La Zenia Boulevard shops stay open throughout the day until late at night.

Most UK towns and cities have their shops and shopping malls in the centre with the various neighbourhoods having a small selection of individual newsagents, bars, restaurants and maybe a mini mart. In Torrevieja and neighbouring Orihuela Costa each urbanisation (neighbourhood) tends to have one or two Centro Commercials (shopping centres) where the shops, bars and restaurants are all conveniently located under one roof.

Torrevieja Habaneras Shopping Centre is located on Avenida Rosa Mazón Valero near the centre of the city. It has an attractive open plan layout where visitors can enjoy the city’s fantastic weather whilst shopping. The centre’s design allows for a variety of tropical plants, fountains and seating areas where visitors can relax and enjoy their shopping experience. During the summer months and occasionally in the winter there is live entertainment and the area around the centre has a variety of bars, restaurants and takeaways including favourites such as Burger King and KFC as well as a popular tapas bar called 100 Montaditos with a great range of tasty tapas for as little as 1€.

The centre’s excellent choice of shops include high street brands such as:

Just outside Habaneras is an 8 screen cinema offering standard and 3D movies in Spanish with headphones for listening in English. Throughout the centre there is wheelchair access and the underground parking is free. Opening hours for parking are from 10am-1am daily and for the shops 10am-10pm daily.
